Heating and Cooling Made Easy

Commercial and Residential HVAC Solutions for any challenge.

There's no shortage of ways to heat your home.

That said there's only one way that's up to 300% energy efficient, is a heater and an air conditioner, virtually hands free, and safer for you, your family and the environment.

Heat pumps work in cold and warm climates and are much cheaper to run than electricity or gas. With our mild to moderate temperatures here on the West Coast a ductless system is the perfect choice for any home.

We know this can be a bit of a dry subject for a lot of people, so we try and make the entire experience as easy and fun as possible. We think it's fun to help people save money while doing our part to impact the world in a positive way. Our coastal energy and weather systems in the Pacific Northwest are the perfect climate for this technology.

Heat pumps work by

Transferring heat from one area to another as they work with the thermostat in your home to control its temperature. They move the heat by way of a compressor and a circulating liquid or gas refrigerant. Essentially it is not so much creating heat like a baseboard heater, but taking the warm air that has already risen to the top of a room and circulating it around your home. Additionally, a heat pump is able to absorb heat energy from the outside air even in cold temperatures and transfer it indoors.

When in cooling mode, they are functionally the same as an air conditioner. They're pretty darn cool! But hey, we're nerds about it.

There are both indoor and outdoor units, available with or without ducting making them incredibly versatile and suitable for nearly any application.

Your carbon footprint.

The Silent Hero.

When installed professionally, they are discrete and quiet. Your neighbours won't even know.

Safety First, For Your Family.

There is no combustion process like a traditional furnace, and no catching the curtains on fire like an old baseboard.

Long Life

Like most things, the better they are maintained the longer they last. Typically a new unit lasts 15 years!

How much does a Heat Pump cost?

With new provincial and federal rebates, homeowners can get a new heat pump system for as little as a few thousand dollars! Please continue reading to find out how we can make this possible for you!

There are a lot of factors that go into determining what setup is going to be right for your home. There is no flat rate cost for a new install as every home and situation is different. Nanaimo Heat Pump installs can be a low as a few thousand dollars while others can be upwards of ten thousand. There are a lot of incentives for home and business owners to switch to heat pumps here in British Columbia. For instance, when switching from a traditional heat source like a furnace, baseboard or even wood stoves there are heat pump rebates in Nanaimo for up to six thousand dollars or more!

The best way to get a proper estimate is to
contact one of our experts and tell them about your home and your needs. From there it will be easy for us to calculate the cost of setting up your new system.

After considering the initial start up cost we can look into the real winning reason and success of this technology and the cornerstone of why most people decide to switch: the operating cost. As mentioned before, our systems use far less energy, which means they use far less of your money. Without getting into technical breakdowns of the cost per million BTU etc. It is safe to say that you can expect to save 30-60% annually on your heating bill. That is a significant number when added over multiple years!

Choosing the right setup.

There are many types and brands of heating systems, and while they all work in the same way they are not all created equal. For a residential home or small office we typically recommend our clients to go with a ductless setup. They are cost effective, easy to install and they are quiet. It is also imperative that a HP purchase is accompanied with a professional install. If installed incorrectly, with inferior parts or cutting corners it may result in a noisy unit, less efficiency, or worse a void warranty or premature failure.

On bigger projects there are also different options, but most commonly we use a larger outdoor unit that is still quiet and a professional ducting system to move the warm air are throughout the space. As mentioned above, without a proper gauge on the size or location of your space it's hard to determine your best fit. We offer free consultations so we can work together to fit your heating and cooling needs whether it's your home, office, construction project or entire apartment complex.

Set it and forget it.

In most North American homes we change the thermostat in our homes quite frequently with the seasons. With a heat pump, is it far better for the system, and for your sanity to simply find a temperature that is comfortable for you and let it do it's thing. Our units are designed to circulate air throughout the entire home and evenly balance the temperature. On a professionally installed system, you will no longer have to wake up early to heat up the office, or turn down the heat at night etc. Our HVAC experts will give you a proper rundown on everything you need to know.

Set it and forget it.

Maintenance.

Ah yes, the crux of everything with moving parts. Luckily the maintenance for our heating and cooling units is very simple, and when done regularly creates the ideal environment for your unit to last far beyond its expectancy. While scheduled check ups from a professional technician are a must, regular cleaning of the filter is the best and easiest way for you to get the most out of your investment. Our experts will show you how to do this quickly and effectively when your system is installed. While major repairs are uncommon, when they do happen 99% of the time it is due to lack of thorough and regular maintenance. We say on average that a new setup lasts 15 years, however it is possible for a well maintained unit to last

20-25 years.

You Comfort is our priority.

We are dedicated to being the leaders in customer service and industry expertise. That said, we are committed to going the extra mile to make sure you make the right investment in your home or business. Whether that is coming back multiple times to go over the design, layout and installation of your new heat pump, or offering top notch maintenance service throughout your homeownership - we know that every business is the people business and that is something we instill in our company culture.
